Fey Enigma
“The Fairy Door”
When I was little, when I would encounter knots in the trunks of trees much like this one that I’ve found on a tree in our front yard, my vivid imagination would weave a wondrous tale. I didn’t just see an ugly mar, I saw magic.
In my mind, this was a door that lead to a world of fascinating, fanciful things. They were doorways to a fairy home or court—-and the ones that were surrounded by toadstools were just that much more special. A royal tree, perhaps.
Gaze deeply, let your imagination soar. Perhaps you can also catch a glimpse of a white fleck or two that could just very well be one of the fae.
